11 races · 5 titan-links
What you inherit before you bind.
Stat ranges, profession weights, and a titan-link. Race is the one choice at character creation you can never change.
What race means for you
Race sets a member's starting stat ranges. It does not decide their class: every member starts Unclassed and picks a class once they have two essences (see How your class is chosen).
Race and sex are permanent. There is no way to change either one later, not even for your champion. Name, portrait, traits and (for your champion only) profession can all be changed.
Race and recruit professions
Tavern recruits roll a random profession weighted by race. Any race can roll any profession; the leaning below only nudges the odds (the top pick is about 1 recruit in 10). If you need a specific profession, use Seek a Profession instead of hunting by race. See Recruiting and your roster.

Beastkin
Wild-blooded kin of wolf, bear, and boar. They fight with raw instinct and honor the hunt above all.
Birdkin
Feathered wanderers born under the Air Titan's open sky. Swift, perceptive, and impossible to pin down.
Corrupted
Once mortal, now twisted by the Void Titan's blood. They hunger for power and shun the light, their pallid forms sustained by dark vitality.
Dark Elf
Exiled kin of the Elves who turned to the Void Titan's whisper. Cunning, shadow-touched, and unbound by tradition.
Dwarf
Stout mountain-dwellers forged by the Earth Titan's bedrock. Unyielding in battle and unmatched at the anvil.
Elf
Ancient beings of the wind and wood, the Elves move between worlds with grace. Proud, long-lived, and keen of sense.
Gnome
Tiny, quick-witted tinkerers who dwell in underground workshops. What they lack in stature they make up in ingenuity.
Human (Fire-linked)
Descendants of those who survived closest to the Fire Titan's resting place. Passionate, driven, and quick to act.
Human (Water-linked)
Coastal and river-dwelling humans attuned to the Water Titan's tides. Adaptable, patient, and deeply intuitive.
Rendrown
Half-orc berserkers branded by the Fire Titan's fury. Their deep red tribal tattoos pulse with ember-light, and their jutting lower fangs mark them as born warriors.
Tidewalker
Amphibious folk from the drowned river deltas. Patient and immovable, they endure where others are swept away.
